March 2019: CowaterSogema recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies third year in a row
For the third year in a row, CowaterSogema has received the Canada’s Best Managed Companies designation based on its overall business performance and its ability to manage growth sustainably. This year, the award specifically recognized innovation, investment in future technology, talent and global orientation.
“For us, this is a team award that pays tribute to our core beliefs of creating, designing and delivering positive changes through locally driven projects,” said David Baron, president and CEO of CowaterSogema. “We have proudly been displaying our affiliation with Canada’s Best Managed Companies in the past few years and we are thrilled to have received the award again this year. We are proud to be a Canadian business that is increasingly becoming present on the global market – manifested by the diversity of our clients. One thing remains unchanged; our success is based on the quality of people that have dedicated themselves to our projects.”
“This year’s Best Managed winners know what it takes to succeed in the future. By investing in innovation and embracing a people-centric approach, these companies are outpacing their competition,” said Lorrie King, National Co-Leader of the Canada’s Best Managed Companies program and Partner, Deloitte Private. “In thinking long term, these companies are already ahead of the curve and are set to be better prepared and successful in the years to come.”
CowaterSogema is amongst a network of 47 winners in 2019 who will be honoured at the annual Canada’s Best Managed Companies gala in Toronto on April 17.
Now in its 26th year, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing Canadian-owned and managed companies for innovative, world-class business practices. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates the caliber of their management abilities and practices. Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $15 million.
